Cathy's The Circle Game

Cathy Hetzel e-mailed me her version of my The Circle Game pattern.
I love seeing people's creative takes on my patterns and had to share this one because the border looks fantastic!

Cathy is busy picking quilting patterns for this beauty!

Why we tear.

Hello, it's Lucy here!
I get a lot of e-mails asking us about our block of the month, and stash clubs. People signing up, questions about fabric and what not. I also get a lot of e-mails from customers all around the world asking why we tear our fabrics.

Fabrics rips straight on the grain, every time! We know it leaves a frayed edge and yucky little threads but trust me, you want us to tear it. We see so many bolts where the fabric is rolled on crooked, and if we were to cut you get would a very warped, crooked piece of fabric. Plus, as skilled as we all are at cutting there's no guarantee we will cut straight every time. No matter how hard we try! We always make sure we give you the correct amount of fabric for your projects even once the torn edge is sliced away.
The Gypsy Wife block of the month is now full! We won't be cutting any more programs but we will be developing this quilt into a pattern. Best to join our mail list if you wish to know when new patterns are relea…

Clipping

My quilt 'Gergetown on my Mind' was featured in an American magazine. We featured this on our Instagram account but a few people are wondering what the text says so we thought it's best to show it in Blogland too. Click the image to read!

Such lovely words.
This pattern in available online.

AMITIE AND INSTAGRAM

Lucy has set up an Instagram account for the shop so we can post pictures of things happening around the store. What is Instagram? It's a photo sharing app on smart phones and here at Amitie, we all love it! Yes I think we all have our own personal instagram accounts.
